Health & Safety Training

Everyone coming to work needs to go home in the same or a better condition than when they arrived. Our training helps organisations implement an effective, compliant, relatable health and safety system that everyone wants to be a part of, ultimately improving organisational outcomes. Health means physical and mental health. Learning how to stay safe and healthy at work and having productive work relationships leads to increased personal and organisational productivity.

We work with organisations to inform and transform (if needed) thinking around health and safety. Health and safety can sometimes be a difficult and confusing topic. We clarify and simplify it.

Health and safety facilitator Stephanie Rumble has extensive experience in this area, leading our interactive and engaging workshops on:

  • Workplace De-escalation – dealing with challenging and upset clients with a straightforward, process-driven approach.
  • Managing Bullying and Harassment – recognising, coping with and managing workplace bullying and harassment.
  • Stress and Fatigue Management – understanding workplace stress and fatigue and tools to manage both.
  • Understanding Risk Management – how to assess risk and apply the principles daily in all work situations in a fun, straightforward way.

Peak Performance Keynote & Mental Skills Coaching

Todd Astle and Ged Robinson deliver an informative and engaging keynote talk, “The Men in the Arena” where they share powerful stories from their professional sporting careers. With their down-to-earth, engaging and highly entertaining style they promote perseverance, positive psychology and wellbeing principles.

The keynote provides practical insights to inspire, connect and encourage audiences to embrace their imperfections and their own stories, as we all strive to make sense of our unique journeys.

Their mental skills coaching benefits not just athletes and sports teams. Experience and research show that when people apply the basic principles they are more likely to perform their tasks more effectively and achieve a higher level of success.

Through the coaching, participants create plans for developing their mental skills, learning how to improve their self-awareness and optimise their mindset to tap into their full capabilities.

Both the keynote and coaching give people a new sense of energy, direction, and confidence from knowing where to focus their energies and become the best versions of themselves. Todd and Ged understand how to keep growing after initial success – and how to bounce back when faced with setbacks and challenges.

How to teach and parent in uncertain times

Child psychologist Dr Emma Woodward provides practical ideas and strategies to help children flourish in uncertain times. Her highly regarded keynote talks to parents and teachers focus on cultivating hope and resilience and managing anxiety in challenging times.

“The world is changing, and at a pace much faster than our ability to keep up. We are currently facing many challenges and uncertainties, such as the impact of technology on the way we live, as well as facing a future with a changing climate. In addition to this, the current pandemic has focused us on the need to support our children and ourselves in different ways”. Dr Emma Woodward

It’s no wonder kids can become anxious, and parents can feel overwhelmed and sometimes beyond their capacity and expertise as parents and carers. But in the face of all these challenges, parents can cope and even thrive. They have the skills and resources through positive interventions to support their children to flourish – even when the most certain thing is uncertainty itself.

As well as being a child psychologist, Dr Emma Woodward is the mother of four young boys and a sought-after presenter and media commentator on child and adolescent wellbeing issues. In her work, she talks about:

  • Growing resilient children in times of uncertainty
  • Managing anxiety, emotional regulation, and trauma-informed practice
  • Cultivating hope and the future-focused child.

“The sessions were engaging, informed, down to earth and responsive to the needs of the participants. When our educators indicated that they would like more information on emotional regulation and distress tolerance, Emma pivoted and ensured that she included tools and strategies to meet those needs.

Feedback from our educators is that the impact of Emma’s professional development was profound. Her sessions were interesting, well-paced, interactive and practical which meant that the participants left feeling their time was well invested and they were equipped to support children and whanau. Dr Woodward’s sessions are always extremely well attended, and we look forward to continuing our relationship with her in the future.”
